How do I register for a Prayer Link Membership?Registration is quick and easy. Use the Registration Forms to enter your name, mailing address and email address. In addition, you'll be asked to create a memorable username and a secure password, and to select either email alerts, cell-phone alerts, or both. If you choose to receive email, we will mail them to the email address that you provide when registering. If you choose to receive cell-phone alerts, we need to know your cell-phone carrier and your cell-phone number. Remember that your cell-phone carrier may charge you for each Prayer Alert message. Most cell phone carriers offer plans that allow you to receive a large number of text messages for a single flat-price fee. Prayer Link recommends that you sign up for one of these text messaging plans. Can I edit my Member Profile? How?Yes. Use the My Profile link on the left-hand menu to access the edit pages and update all of the information in your profile. Select EDIT, and then Update Your Profile. How do I turn cell-phone Prayer Alerts (text messaging) on or off?Edit your profile by selecting My Profile from the left-hand menu. Then select EDIT and Update Your Profile. Click on the Prayer Alert Info tab, and either select or deselect the radio button to turn cell-phone alerts on or off, respectively. How do I turn email Prayer Alerts (text messaging) on or off?Edit your profile by selecting My Profile from the left-hand menu. Then select EDIT and Update Your Profile. What do I need to do to participate in the Prayer Link public forum?To read forum messages, you need nothing more than to enter the forum as a guest. Everything on our website is available to Registered Members at no charge. You may Register Here. In the future, we may charge a modest fee to help us cover our expenses and expand the ministry. Also, we may offer a premium membership, one that is not supported by advertising. How much do Prayer Alerts cost?At this time, we do not charge a fee to send Prayer Alerts to you. However, your cellular phone service provider or your email provider may charge you to receive our Prayer Alerts. We send at least three (3) messages, and perhaps more, every day. If you choose to receive cell-phone alerts, Prayer Link uses SMS (or Short Message Service) messages to send text messages to your phone. You need to understand that your cell-phone carrier may charge you for each of these messages. My PrayerLink beeps when it is cold out. What does this mean?When the PrayerLink gets cold (around 40 degrees Farenheit or 10 degrees Celcius) the battery voltage in the PrayerLink might drop to a point where it causes the low voltage alarm to sound. This is signified by a chirping sound. When the PrayerLink warms back up, it will stop sounding its low voltage alarm. |
