| Pray for all who are in authority |

It's a new day to pray a new way. With the inauguration of President Barak Obama we at PrayerLink encourage everyone to join us at the daily prayer alert times in fervent prayer and intercession for him, his family and our country. It is ideal to think that Christians would never need to be prompted to pray but the fact is we do. Evidence of our need is seen in God reminding us to pray in the Word. Today, our reminder is found in 1 Timothy 2:1-2: "First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings ("Presidents"), and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity." (NASB). Brothers and sisters, let us pray! Today, I was very much encouraged by the prayers offered at the event. Two men of God led this great nation to the throne of Grace acknowledging our need for Divine forgiveness and favor. I am reminded that God promises to give grace to the humble and what we witnessed was humility and dependence. May we now witness an outpouring of his grace, mercy and love.
