HOW TO REPLACE BATTERY(Use Lithium CR 2032 3V battery) 1. Slide the left switch to OFF and the right switch to 7.
2. Insert pointed nipper into one of the holes on back cover and turn left (counterclockwise) to remove it.
3. Initialize the device by placing a nipper on the spring base and metal tab at the same time.
4. Insert the battery into the deviceby placing it against the metal tab first. Press down so it remains in place. If the battery springs up or if the chime tune begins to play, remove the battery and repeat step 3. Note: The alarm sound will not be heard immediately if the battery is installed properly.
5. Replace the back cover with the white dot in the top slot.
Turn it to the right (clockwise).
6. Insert the nipper into one of the holes on the back cover and turn right (clockwise) to secure the cover. The cover will “snap” into position when correctly installed.
7. The device will take about 4~15 minutes to receive the atomic time signal. The alert light will shine for about 5 minutes if the battery is installed correctly. If the device begins to sound the tune repeatedly repeat steps 1-7.
8. To activate the audio alert sound at the preset times move side switch to “ON”. (See figure 1 above.) NOTE: If the device doesn’t work well after installing battery, repeat the above steps to activate the system. It may take several hours (or overnight) to receive the atomic signal (from the Colorado Springs tower) and synchronize the time. The vast majority of the US receives the signal regularly.
