Prayer Link provides services to Christians to coordinate and synchronize prayer. Prayer Link operates this  website at www.prayerlink.com, which includes access to discussion forums, blogs and other services allowing members to share thoughts and ideas. In addition, Prayer Link operates a notification service utilizing cell-phone networks to synchronize the prayers of members.

Information Collected by Prayer Link

Information You Provide to Us

Prayer Link collects user submitted information including name, date of birth, residential address, mailing or billing addresses, email address, time zone, cell-phone number and cell-phone provider. We use this information for confirmation and authentication purposes, and to activate the Prayer Link notification service. Prayer Link may also collect credit card information, including billing address and phone numbers, in order to collect payment for any purchased items or services.

In addition, Prayer Link also collects information about a member’s place of worship, including a member’s church, its affiliation or its denomination. We collect information when you register, log on, or visit the PrayerLink.com website, including when you participate in any activities on our website.

Finally, you may choose to add your photograph and a description of yourself to your profile. 

Information Collected by Technology

We collect information through technology to make our website and our services more useful and interesting for you. Prayer Link logs the Internet (IP) address and browser type used by members and visitors to the Prayer Link website. This information is used to monitor and improve the website service and track usage. In addition, IP addresses are used for security purposes. This information may be shared with third parties for security purposes, service improvements, and to coordinate and provide relevant advertising to members and users.

Cookies

Cookies are small amounts of information stored on your computer. Prayer Link uses cookies when you register and when you log on to the Prayer Link site. We use the information stored in the cookies to monitor your logon session.

Information Collected by Advertisers

Advertisements on our website may use cookies and web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information. A web beacon is embedded in a graphic or photographic image to monitor your behavior.

A. Prayer Link will use email addresses to send notification related to the service, including changes and updates to the service. We may also use a member’s email address to notify the member that it is time to pray. The member may choose not to receive email prayer notifications by updating the member’s profile to deactivate email alerts.

Member email addresses are not displayed or shared with other members or visitors to the site. All communication between members is handled by the Prayer Link service without disclosing member’s email addresses. Your affiliated church may send emails to you via the Prayer Link service, but this will also be handled by Prayer Link without disclosing your email address.

Q. Will My Name Ever Be Disclosed?

A. Member’s names are never displayed or revealed to other members or visitors to the Prayer Link website.

Q. Why Do You Want My Cell Phone Number?

A. Prayer Link uses member’s cell phone numbers to send text messages (also known as SMS or Short Message Service messages) to notify members that it is time to pray. Members are advised that their cell-phone carrier may charge a fee for each SMS text message. The member may choose not to receive text messages by updating their profile to deactivate text message alerts.

Prayer Link contains links to sites not controlled by Prayer Link. Prayer Link is not responsible for the privacy policies or privacy practices on any other site.

Prayer Link members may modify or remove their personal member information.

Prayer Link member accounts are secured by member-created passwords.
